1. Setup: Each player gets 7 Coins, a secret hand of 4 Café Cards, and 1 Counter Card (which provides your starting ☕ Coffee or 🍵 Tea). 4 Café Cards form the face-up Display, and 5 Special Guest Cards (worth 6 VP each) are placed face-up for all players to pursue.
2. On Your Turn (Step 1 — Play 1 Card from Hand): Choose 1 card from your hand and do
either:
- Add to Your Café (Top of Card): Spend Coins equal to the card's Cost (strictly forbidden if you don't have enough Coins!). It adds a Food/Drink symbol (☕ Coffee, 🍵 Tea, 🧋 Cold Drink, 🥐 Snack, 🍲 Soup, 🍰 Sweet) or a Decor clock symbol (🪵 Rustic, 📻 Retro, ✨ Modern), plus any ⚡ Instant or ♾️ Ongoing power and end-game VP.
- Serve Customer (Bottom Chalkboard): Gain 1 Coin for each of the customer's 3 desired food symbols that your café can match (each symbol in your café can only satisfy one desire slot!). If a desired food has a ❤️ Heart (Loved Food), gain 1 Coin for EVERY matching symbol of that type in your café! (Decor symbols do not earn coins.)
3. Gaining Regulars: When serving a customer, if your café satisfies ALL 3 of their food desires AND has at least 1 matching Preferred Decor (🪵 Rustic, 📻 Retro, or ✨ Modern), tuck the card under your Counter as a Regular (worth 4 VP) instead of discarding it!
4. Refill Hand (Step 2): Refill your hand back to 4 cards by drafting face-up card(s) from the 4-card Display (and immediately replenish the Display from the Deck).
5. Game End & Scoring: When a player gains their 4th Regular (in 1–2P) or 3rd Regular (in 3–4P)—or the deck reshuffles twice—every other player takes 1 final turn. Total VP = 1 VP per 2 leftover Coins (rounded down) + Café Card VP (fixed & conditional) + 4 VP per Regular + 6 VP per satisfied Special Guest!
